Willingness

“The key is willingness. Once we have placed the key of willingness in the lock and have the door ever so slightly open...we find that we can always open it some more.”

Willingness is the first step that sets everything else in motion. It’s the courage to take that initial action that begins the process of change.

In sobriety, willingness means being open to new possibilities and accepting that we need help. It’s about allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, to admit that we don’t have all the answers and to be willing to try something different. This openness is what allows us to unlock new doors and continue progressing on our journey.

As we nurture this willingness, we find that the door doesn’t just open slightly—it can be pushed open wider with time. Each step forward builds momentum, creating opportunities for growth, healing and transformation.

Willingness is the first step towards opening new doors in life. By embracing willingness, we invite change, growth and the possibility of a future full of healing and transformation.

If you are interested in seeking or are actively seeking sobriety, consider coming to one of our meetings.

Held every Wednesday in the 757.
